Sledding at dusk is a magical time. The park starts to empty as little ones go home for dinner and weary little legs trudge through the deep snow pulling their sleds behind them. Big sisters or brothers often end up pulling the little ones back to their homes or cars wherever they may be. Sunlight starts to fade and across the valley you see the city lights twinkle in the cold night air. Snow sparkles and you can see your breath. Thoughts of a warm home and welcoming porch lights fill your head as you race down the hill. Giggles and squeals of laughter can be heard all around as the sledding runs are fast after a full day of children on them. And the world starts to take on softer hues. Yes, I believe that sledding at dusk is magical.

French horn
Ella just got to switch over to the French horn today. She is so excited. I am grateful the school has one she can borrow. This is a single French horn. A double French horn has another loop and sounds nicer but this will have to do and if she likes it we will have to see if we can find her own.

Old becomes new
Bought an end table at the local thrift store for $5-- I could see the potential it had and I knew that Mara needed something to put her dollhouse on besides a grey tote full of clothes that no longer fit her. The added bonus is the extra storage she gains below.

A Magical Morning
We woke up to a dusting of snow this morning which made the walk to school a bit cooler but a lot more fun as feet slid and tracks were made. And how can you resist sticking out your tongue trying to catch a few snowflakes.
